Colleton River Club has amazing opportunities for all kinds of people.

Can you imagine yourself living in a place that is so incredibly beautiful that even the Academy Award-winning director, Robert Redford, deemed it worthy of a backdrop for one of his movies, Legend of Bagger Vance? Today I am excited to take you to that place, right here in our area. This is what you need to know about Colleton River Club here in Bluffton, South Carolina.

Colleton River is a 1,500-acre peninsula with direct access to the Atlantic Ocean. It's only 10 miles from the beaches on Hilton Head, three miles to downtown Historic Bluffton, and 35 miles to Savannah Hilton Head International Airport. One of the most distinctive features of this community is the fact that there are two golf courses by two different designers, Jack Nicklaus and Pete Dye.

Both of these award-winning golf courses also have clubhouses that offer spectacular views. Renovations to the Dye clubhouse are happening right now, and it will soon include a rooftop lounge, expanded casual dining, and a veranda that spans inside and outside.

Colleton River is an incredibly beautiful place.

Also under construction is a completely new athletic center with a poolside cafe, eight Pickleball Courts, four bocce courts, and a brand-new tennis complex. On top of that, this area has the Learning Center, which is a 2,200-square-foot complex with state-of-the-art technology as well as indoor and outdoor facilities for year-round practice.

There is also an executive course designed by Bruce Borland. It has six holes, all par three, and it's a great spot for newcomers to the game or young kids that might just want to get started. With 270-degree views of the river, the community dock is a beautiful spot and a great place for the community to gather. There are opportunities for oyster roasts or a day on the water with kayaking, deep-water fishing, or boating.

One of the first things you'll notice right away when you come into Colleton River is the generous lot sizes. It's a low-density community, giving it a much more stately feel than a subdivision. Houses range from single-family to golf cottages. They could be deep water, lagoon, golf view, or marsh view. Overall, know that this is a gorgeous place.
