Berkeley Hall is a fantastic community with low density and tons of fun.

If Choosing a gated community can often be difficult. How can you know what it’s really like to live somewhere before moving? We’ve been providing comprehensive breakdowns of some of the most desirable gated communities in our area in our series Behind the Gates, and today we’re taking you through Berkeley Hall, a private golf club community.

Centrally located in Bluffton, South Carolina, Berkeley Hall is near the airport and Hilton Head Island, and it’s only a short drive away from the Savannah airport. Plus, it’s located right on the pristine waters of the Okatie River.

This community currently has very low density, with only 554 equity members and 100 non-equity members. The huge Jeffersonian-style clubhouse is the centerpiece of this community, and it offers a new veranda, plenty of activities, and a taproom so that you can grab a beer and bite to eat with your friends.

Berkeley Hall has the type of home you’re looking for.

There are two top-rated golf courses in Berkeley Hall, which the designer described as a walk in a park as opposed to a stroll through a subdivision. This community is also home to one of the U.S.’s top 100 learning and practice facilities, so you can practice your game to your heart’s content.

One of my favorite amenities in Berkeley Hall is the access to the Okatie River. The waterfront is beautiful, and nearby are tennis courts, pools, basketball courts, and more.

If you’re interested in Berkeley Hall, you’re in luck–real estate offerings here are plentiful. There’s a type of home to fit everyone’s needs, so call or email us if you’d like to learn more. We’d love to hear from you!
